“What has greatly helped us though is the access to therapy. I better understand the complexities of the trauma the child has endured. It’s helped me to be able to stay strong for our little one and to refrain from experiencing disruption.”

Mental Health Services

At Be the Source, we believe that therapy can be a valuable resource for all foster and kinship caregivers. It supports your mental health needs and enhances your ability to care for children who have experienced trauma. While therapy may not be for everyone, we are dedicated to making it accessible to any caregiver who wishes to explore it.

We offer both telehealth and in-person therapy sessions (where available) to foster and kinship caregivers across Colorado. To request services, caregivers can submit a therapeutic services request at https://bethesourceco.org/portal. The form allows you to specify your preferences, including:

  • Therapist gender
  • Specific challenges (such as grief, anxiety, etc.)
  • Therapy modalities (CBT, EMDR, etc.)
  • Language
  • Location
  • Telehealth or in-person sessions

Based on your preferences, we will match you with a qualified and available therapist who best fits your needs. There is no cost to you. Our goal is to support your well-being so you can continue providing the best care possible.
